He made this known while reading a few lines from the novel at Alliance Francaise, (the home of French in the city of Port Harcourt) during the monthly book reading program organized by the Nigerian Literary Society, an event curated by David Chukwueke. The event which featured two prominent authors: Uzo Nwamara- Author of 'Dance of the Delta' and Ebideyenfa Tarila Nikade- Author of '14 Letters to my Lazy Lover' had in attendance writers and literary enthusiasts from various parts of the country.
The poet and novelist, who was recently reelected as Treasurer of ANA Rivers also shared a photo of the cover of the book on his facebook account, a photo he tagged: “A Conquered People is in the Press.”
Meanwhile, the Amazon version of the work, published by PC Publishers has already surfaced online and appeared both in Kindle and Paperback versions.
"A Conquered People" beams its narrative lights on the themes of marginalization, environmental degradation and subsequent relocation of a people from their homeland, it is therefore an interesting reference material to those interested in the eco-literature of the Niger Delta and Africa at large.
